Stacy Roux, Manager of Business Development, and her daughter volunteer with their church organization called Gracing Spaces. They collect from the community any unneeded home goods, furniture, clothes and anything else families that are transitioning out of shelters and getting a home of their own will need. All items are stored in a local church’s basement and volunteers help to itemize and shelf the inventory.  As social workers are assigned families, volunteers ‘shop’ for the home goods, furniture, toys and clothes to donate to the families. “We go to their new housing once a month to move everything in – it is a huge undertaking. The joy on the faces of the families is priceless,” says Roux.
