Innovate! Inc. (Innovate) is proud to have supported the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for over 20 years. We provide the core GIS abilities for EPA Region 9, servicing Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Pacific Islands, and 148 Tribal Nations. Our GIS team is responsible for all aspects of on- and off-site geospatial support, including GIS data collection, development, management, visualization, and dissemination for EPA Region 9. Our team works directly with EPA Region 9 personnel to manage all GIS data and oversee daily operations to support the Region's internal and external customer base.
As a result of this long-term partnership, Innovate team members Jennifer Herring and Travis Bock, both Senior GIS Project Managers, attended the EPA Region 9 Spring Workshop held in Washington DC. They presented on a variety of collaborative efforts, including:
Climate Vulnerability Screening Tool - assists the Land, Chemicals, and Redevelopment Division (LCRD) in meeting regional and agency-wide initiatives to identify and address climate change hazards for all EPA-regulated sites overseen by the division
Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) - enables data processing automation and a new workflow that provides quarterly updates of secure, nationwide geospatial SDWIS data services (see figure above)
